    Description

1911 World Series Press Pin (Philadelphia Athletics).
It is, quite simply, the most significant World Series press pin that exists. This pristine beauty is the very first World Series press pin ever constructed, and the personal example of the man who pioneered the tradition. The Philadelphia Athletics, with their 0,000 Infield, conquered Christy Mathewson and the mighty New York Giants four games to two in the 1911 World Series, with Hall of Fame third baseman Frank Baker earning his celebrated "Home Run" nickname for a pair of long balls against Marquard and Matty in Games Two and Three respectively. The World Championship would be the second in a row for the powerful Mack Men, and they'd claim a third in 1913.
