1.25". Parisian Novelty Co. of Chicago. In 1930 the newspaper issued two sets of portrait buttons for the city's MLB teams, the Cubs and the White Sox. Each set is comprised of 10 different buttons. Each features portrait at center with rim text of player's name and position/role, team and newspaper names. A scarce and desirable regional issue.
Root played for the Cubs 1926-41. He holds the club record for games, innings pitched, and career wins with 201. NL wins leader in 1927. Glossy, Exc.
