Antique Entry Mortise Lock Brass Knobs Cylinder Key Sargent 6745 *Refurbished*

Description

For your consideration is a super nice antique entry mortise lock manufactured by Sargent & Co. in New Haven Conn. in the early 1900's.
The lock is no. 6745 as shown in the 1926 Sargent hardware trade catalog
.
The set comes with 2 brass knobs, brass plates w/ thumb turn, swivel spindle, & cylinder lock with key.
The lock cylinder is a high security Sargent lock.  The mortise strike is reversible - it will work with a right or left hand swing door.  The mortise lock is in excellent functional condition - It has been refurbished - all parts disassembled, cleaned and properly reassembled.  The knob do have some dents and the plates are tarnished.
Dimensions are as follows:  Face plate: 7-5/8 x 1-1/8",
Face to center of hub (set back): 2-3/4", Center of hub to center of lock cylinder: 4".
Dimensions of the lock body are: 5-5/8" x 3-3/4".  I will include spindle washers for knob fine spacing adjustment.  Comes with everything you see in the pictures.  Please look at the pictures carefully as they are considered part of the description.  Make sure to ask questions before you bid.
