Early vintage Krystonia lot (2pcs) Wizard Haapf (mirth bringer) & Poffle Turfen

Both of these figurines included in this listing are early Krystonia.  The Wizard, who is named Haapf (bringer of mirth), was created from 1987 - 1991.  I know he sure brings a smile to my face.  The other figurine is called a Poffle and was created from 1987 - 1998.  I got mine at the same time I got Haapf however so I know he is an early rendition.
Krystonia was originally created by the 2 guys who wrote the book, Beau Dix and Mark Scott.  They approached Panton who agreed to produce the first figurines coming out in 1987.  Panton originally produced porcelain horses and music boxes which they continued to produce until Krystonia took off.  At some point there was a falling out and, due to a legal case, Beau and Mark lost the rights to Krystonia.  The pieces became very different at this point.  The earlier pieces were much, much more detailed, particularly the paint job.  Later pieces were much more monotone.  I believe my pieces to be among the early ones and much more collectible.  The wizard Haapf measures 3¾" tall and is 4" wide.  You can tell the size of the poffle by inference.  They are really very charming together and sure to make you smile.  We all need a bit of whimsy in our lives to keep things interesting.  Please contact me with any other questions you may have prior to bidding.
