Fine Set of Murray Huggins Great Highland Bagpipes - pre Colin Kyo

I have owned these pipes for two years. They are lovely sounding and light on the shoulder. Here is what Murray had to say about them when he looked them over two years ago…
“Dear Oliver, As a follow up the drones are really nice. Easy to tune and continue to perform as I intended. I used Selbie drone reeds. This is a charming set and one I am proud to have made. My work today has evolved a lot from the era I made these yet I am not embarrassed by these in the least. It was on this very model I placed 3rd in Australia those years ago. The wood is in excellent shape. The resin that I used to make this set is brittle so care should be taken to not knock the resin into anything. Today I use a different resin that is far stronger. For their age they are in excellent condition.”
