LARGE Vintage Painted METAL PALOMINO HORSE Figurine Removable Saddle 8"x6.5"
Nicely painted palomino
horse with
separately cast western saddle
is
pot metal
/spelter.
Good condition
with
age related chippy paint, wear, discoloration, and typical mold flaws & seams.
Bit rings and leather
reins are replacements
. Antiqued brass escutcheon pins that hold the saddle to the horse are replacements held in place with archival Museum Wax so they can be removed if needed. A clear adhesive disc was attached under the left hind hoof to correct a wobble.
Original felt saddle pad
is old and fragile and has a neatly
repaired cinch strap
which broke while I was photographing and I didn’t notice until I finished. The tear can be seen in the last photo and has since been invisibly repaired by gluing a strip of matching felt to the inside for stability where it doesn’t show. I was too lazy to retake all photos, but I can send a photo of the horse with the repaired felt through eBay Messages if anyone wants to see.
No chips, cracks, breaks, or other repairs (other than the mentioned replacement reins, escutcheon pins, and repaired felt pad).
If flaws exist in my items, I do my best to show or describe them.
