Quick back story....I purchased this for my 2001 YZF-R6.  I opened the package but I did not actually get it installed.  During the install I started to take the old throttle tube off and loosen the cables etc and I noticed that my throttle cables were routed incorrectly and they were adjusted way to tight.  So given that's what was causing my overly snappy throttle problem.,  I didn't have a need for this.
The models of motorcycles that this G2 Throttle Tamer fits are listed on the back of the package which I have pictured in the photos and it may fit other motorcycles as well.  I'd persoinally search for this part number 40-4Y-130 and confirm it works for your application.
Installation was (or would have been had I installed it) amazingly simple. Three screws, loosen the throttle cable adjuster, pull the old one off and put  the new one on.
Keep in mind that you will need to either remove the old grip and install/transfer it onto this new Throttle tube, or what I was planning was I bought new grips  to install since it was the perfect time to do it, along with lubing the cables etc... and I would have just cut the old one off to save time.
PLEASE NOTE:  You do not need to and you should NOT apply any type of lubrication to this new throttle tube when installing it.  They are specifically designed not to me used I believe due to the Delrin bearing material inside the tube but don't quote me on that.  In any case the mfg says not to apply anything to it when installing it.,  You should lube your cables as normal though.  You will see how easily the old or stick throttle tube comes off as soon as you remove the starter button housing.  The tube slips right off.
An experienced mechanic can have this installed in 5 minutes or less.  An average garage monkey like me will take maybe 15-20 minutes if they take the time to adjust the cable free play, lubricate the cables etc.
Regardless its' simple so don't let not knowing how to install a throttle tube cause you to hesitate to pull the trigger on this if you feel like you need to tame down your throttle from a stop.  There are many videos online that show how to do it as well the Manufacturer is very helpful if you have questions.
Thanks for looking!
