Vintage1930's ? Horse Statue Hollow Pot Metal Copper Plating Ornate Saddle. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
Two vintage copper Western horses. Cast metal - early mid century
The woman I purchased these from said these horses would have to be roughly 86 years old.
Their History
From the 1930s to the 1950s the fairs and carnivals used to give these items away as prizes when people played the midway games.
At that time Western shows were very popular and these were a big hit.
The horses were hollow and had a copper colored finish over them.
There is some patina due to their age. The larger one has more of a patina then the smaller one does.
The smaller one has it's original reins attached but the larger one does not.
The small one is stamped USA but I don't see any stamping on the larger one
They are pretty heavy - together they weigh 2lbs almost 1 oz
The large horse measures approx: 8 1/4" high by almost 11" long by approx 2" in depth.
The smaller horse measures approx: 6" long by 4"wide by 1 1/2" in depth
These would make an excellent display for the equestrian lover.
