Vintage Silverplate Horse & Pony Statue On Wood Base

This is a vintage silver plated horse and pony statue on a wood base.
I am uncertain as to exactly how old it is. Maybe 1940s or 1950s. Please use your judgment.
The piece measures 5 1/8 inches tall at the horse’s ears (13 cm). The base measures 8 inches wide x 4 inches deep x 3/4 inch high (20.3 cm x 10.1 cm x 1.9 cm).
The horse and pony are both attached to the wood base at two of their feet. However, I believe the pony’s legs got detached at some point and it was sliding around, creating two curved scratches on top of the wood. I’m really not exactly sure what happened here though.
The horse is in very good condition, with just scattered tarnishing. There is a little excess tarnishing on the top of his head behind his right ear. The pony has what is either a dark piece of tarnishing or a missing section of silver plate on his front left leg. The base has the two mentioned scratches and some other scattered scratches, and quite a bit of wear on the back side.
The bottom is green felt, which has worn off going around the exterior.
It weighs a little over 1 lb. 8 oz. (688 g).
